Preventive measures for driving in low temperatures

Winter is coming and especially in the morning, when the drivers of our free shuttle buses start their day in Malaga, Alicante or Mallorca, it often happens that the cold makes driving difficult. For this reason, we decided to give you a few tips to avoid problems when driving in low temperatures.

Four tips for driving safely in the winter

Remove condensate

When we get in the car and it is cold, the windows immediately mist up. This happens because of the temperature difference between the inside and the outside of the car caused by our own body heat. Fogged windows reduce visibility on the road in the same way that dense fog would. Fortunately, though, fogged up windows are much easier to combat – all it takes is turning up the air conditioning to the max and pointing it at the windshield.

Wondering where to stay in Acadia National Park??

Located on the southeast coast of Maine, Acadia National Park may be small, but it has it all.The region attracts over 3 million visitors each year and is known for its vast forests, stunning coastlines and peaceful hikes. It's most popular in the fall, when rainbow-colored foliage creates the perfect photo backdrop – though we think it's just as beautiful any time of year, especially from Cadillac Mountain.

You can't stay at the park itself (unless you bring a tent), so you'll have to stay in one of the nearby towns. There are many options to choose from, all offering something completely different, so you'll need to do some research before booking your stay.

Slow Travel through Europe – An Ode to Rail Travel

"It's time for a vacation," Bjorn said to me at the end of 2018. "Vacation? Sure, always. I want to show you all my favorite places in Spain. I want to go to Spain again. Strolling through small streets, enjoying delicious food, dancing and drinking wine in the sunset." At the time, we both had a stressful 2017 and 18 behind us, with changes of location, country and job, combined with many projects and tight deadlines. We were just ready for a vacation. The longing of my body for rest and recovery was especially evident in my face. Only now when looking through the old photos, I realize how bad my skin looked due to all the stress. In addition to the blemishes, I was also struggling with rosacea all of a sudden. I could have easily gone through as a fourteen year old model for Clearasil, but only for the before shots. But since this is not a beauty blog, I will rather spare you from the photos of my skin at that time and instead transition to the topic of traveling by train.

Travelogue from the NTT Hurtigruten group cruise 2018

The Nordic-Team-Travel travel group, accompanied by our tour guide Klaus, was allowed to experience the diverse Norwegian coast and its exciting ports on board the MS Trollfjord. In memory are fantastic panoramic views, grandiose fjords and the fresh delicacies offered on board. The mainland was explored via booked activities and "on your own". The evenings were enjoyed together at the stern with delicious food and we always had a lot to talk about. Dive into Klaus` travel reports and let yourself be inspired.

Santa Marta – Pirates in Colombia

The city of Santa Marta has almost 500.000 inhabitants and is located in the north of Colombia in the Departemento del Magdalena. It is the eleventh largest city in Colombia and one of the largest directly on the Caribbean coast. Its location close to the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and the famous Tayrona National Park make it a very suitable starting point for trips along Colombia's Caribbean Coast. Besides, the cities of Barranquilla and Cartagena are easy to reach from Santa Marta. When I walk along the promenade of Santa Marta at dusk and look towards the offshore island, I can well imagine how pirates used to hide here long ago.
